FILM IN BARNET  in 90 secs
Budding film-makers were invited to take part in an innovative and exciting short film competition scheme.
The competition, was run in partnership with the London Borough of Barnet, Film London and the Hendon Times encouraging local people - young and old – to make films themed on aspects of life in Barnet.
It offered great prizes and the opportunity of having your film screened before a public audience.
We wanted you to make a 90 second film about Barnet, exploring what the borough meant to you; what excited you, what inspired you, what you love, or what you would like to see in Barnet.
The films were on any subject and in any genre, with a focus on the things that mattered to you in your own community.
They were filmed using any medium, from the most sophisticated digital video and the latest mobile phone technology to the most basic low-fi equipment.
The competition was open to Barnet residents and those studying in Barnet.
The entries were judged by representatives from Barnet Council, Film London as, Hendon Times and Phoenix Cinema.

In other words it is an amateur Video making Club.
Founded in 1930 and is one of the longest established clubs in the UK.
